In a new book, lake experts partnered to reframe and update our knowledge base, include unheard voices, and dispense with incomplete understandings about our unique lake. It is a time of change and reckoning. Join chapter authors in the Salty Science Series to discuss the future of Great Salt Lake from their lens. The Salty Science Series is hosted by Great Salt Lake Institute at Westminster College and will feature contributing authors of "Great Salt Lake Biology: a Terminal Lake in a Time of Change" in a series of 6 panel discussions. We hope that you will break out your inner nerd and have a lake themed dinner or drink ready to enjoy while you learn about the lake. Prizes will be awarded at the end of the night for the most creative food or libation! for example Jaimi’s dinner for this first event will include green south arm (avocado) toast sprinkled with course ground halite and a hard-boiled pickled egg on the side.
